EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of fulfilling vows. In this hadith, Umar bin Al-Khattab made a vow to perform I'tikaf in Al-Masjid al Haram for one night and the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ encouraged him to fulfill it. This teaches us that we should always keep our promises and be honest with our words. We should never make a promise that we cannot keep or do not intend to keep because it is wrong and disrespectful towards Allah SWT. Furthermore, this hadith also shows us the importance of visiting holy places such as Masjid al Haram as it was Umar's intention when he made his vow.
