Sunan an-Nasai 5009 (Book 47, Hadith 25) #19541
Changing Evil with Faith

SUMMARY: This hadith encourages people to do their best to change any evil they see, whether it be with their hands, tongue or heart.

It was narrated that Tariq bin Shihab said: "Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah SAW say: Whoever among you sees an evil and changes it with his hand, then he has done his duty. Whoever is unable to do that, but changes it with his tongue, then he has done his duty. Whoever is unable to do that, but changes it with his heart, then he has done his duty, and that is the weakest of Faith'."

QUICK LESSONS:
Do one’s best effort towards changing any wrongs seen in society .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith encourages people to do their best to change any evil they see in the world. It is a duty of every Muslim to try and make the world a better place by changing any wrongs that they come across. The Prophet Muhammad [SAW] said that if someone sees an evil and changes it with his hand, then he has done his duty. If someone is unable to do this, but changes it with his tongue instead, then he has still done his duty. Even if someone is unable to do either of these things but still changes it in their heart, then this too is considered doing one's duty as this is the weakest form of faith.
