Prescribed Diyah for Teeth

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) prescribed a Diyah (compensation) of five camels for teeth.

It was narrated from'Amr bin Shu'aib, from his father that his grandfather said; the Messenger of Allah said: "For teeth (the Diyah is) five camels.
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادٌ، عَنْ حُسَيْنٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ فِي الأَسْنَانِ خَمْسٌ مِنَ الإِبِلِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the prescribed diyah or compensation for teeth. According to the Prophet Muhammad's teachings, if someone's tooth is broken or lost due to an injury caused by another person, then the perpetrator must pay a diyah of five camels as compensation. This hadith teaches us that we should be responsible and accountable for our actions and take responsibility when we cause harm to others. It also teaches us that justice should be served in all cases and people should not be allowed to get away with their wrongdoings without any consequences. Furthermore, it shows us how important it is to value human life and respect each other’s rights so as not to cause any harm or injury in the first place.
