QUICK LESSONS:
Strive for forgiveness , Show compassion towards others

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of the immense mercy and compassion of the Prophet Muhammad. It was narrated from Abu Firas that Umar said he saw the Messenger of Allah allowing others to seek retaliation against him. This shows us how forgiving and compassionate the Prophet was towards those who wronged him. He did not take revenge or retaliate against them but instead showed them mercy by allowing them to take their own form of justice in return for what they had done. This teaches us that we should always strive to forgive those who have wronged us and show them compassion instead of seeking revenge or retaliation. We should also remember that even though it is sometimes difficult, forgiveness is always better than taking matters into our own hands as it can lead to more peace and harmony in our lives.
