Punishment for Killing or Mutilating Slaves

SUMMARY: Killing or mutilating a slave is not allowed and will be punished.

It was narrated from Samurah that the Prophet said: "Whoever kills his slave, we will kill him, and whoever mutilates his slave, we will mutilate him".
أَخْبَرَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ قَالَ ‏ "‏ مَنْ قَتَلَ عَبْدَهُ قَتَلْنَاهُ وَمَنْ جَدَعَ عَبْدَهُ جَدَعْنَاهُ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the punishment for killing or mutilating slaves. The Prophet Muhammad said that whoever kills their slave, they will be killed in return, and whoever mutilates their slave, they will be mutilated in return. This hadith teaches us that slavery is wrong and should not be practiced. It also shows us that we should treat all people with respect and kindness regardless of their social status. We should never take advantage of someone's vulnerability by harming them in any way, as this is against the teachings of Islam.
