QUICK LESSONS:
Ensure money is earned through permissible means
EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad taught us that certain types of earnings are forbidden in Islam. These include the earnings of a cupper, which is someone who serves drinks; the price of a dog; and stud fees for a stallion. This hadith teaches us that we should be mindful about where our money comes from and to ensure it is earned through permissible means. We should also be aware that some activities are not allowed in Islam, such as buying or selling dogs or using horses for breeding purposes.
