QUICK LESSONS:
Be Honest in Dealing With Others , Keep Promises & Fulfill Obligations

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's trustworthiness and honesty. It was narrated that 'Aishah said that the Messenger of Allah bought some food from a Jew with payment to be made later, and he put his shield in pledge for that. This shows us how honest and trustworthy the Prophet was, even when it came to small matters like buying food. He was so honest that he gave something valuable as collateral until he could pay back what he owed. This teaches us to always be honest in our dealings with others, no matter how small or insignificant they may seem. We should also strive to keep our promises and fulfill our obligations, even if it means giving something valuable as collateral until we can pay back what we owe.
