EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's practice of eating the trotters of sacrificial animals for a month. It was narrated from 'Abdur'Rahman bin 'Abis that his father said he asked 'Aishah about the meat of the sacrificial animals and she said they used to keep it for him for a month before he would eat them. This hadith teaches us that we should be mindful when consuming food, especially when it comes from sacrifice or charity, as we should not take more than what is necessary and be grateful for what we have been given. We can also learn from this hadith that even though Prophet Muhammad was a prophet, he still ate food like everyone else and did not take more than what was necessary.
