Follow Islamic Law when consuming food items

This hadith is narrated by Jabir ibn 'Abdullah and it states that it was permissible to eat horseflesh in the time of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. However, eating mules was not allowed. This hadith teaches us that we should be mindful of what we consume and only eat what has been deemed permissible by Islamic law. We should also be aware of the differences between animals and their meat, as some may be halal while others may not be.
