This hadith teaches us about eating unfamiliar food. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was offered a grilled mastigure and when he heard that it was the meat of a mastigure, he withdrew his hand from eating it. Khalid bin Al-Walid then asked if this type of food is haram, to which the Prophet replied that although this type of food is not haram, but since its not found in the land of his people, so he finds it distasteful and does not eat such things.
