EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about hunting with a tool called a mirad. A mirad is an ancient type of bow used for hunting. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught Adiyy bin Hatim that if he wanted to hunt, he should use this tool and only eat what he hunted if it was hit by the sharp edge of the mirad. If it was hit by its broad edge, then he should not eat it. This hadith teaches us that we should be careful when we hunt and make sure that whatever we are eating has been hunted properly according to Islamic teachings. It also teaches us that we should be mindful of our actions and take responsibility for them, as well as respect animals and nature in general.
