He said: 'whatever you catch with your bow, mention the name of Allah over it and eat. Whatever you catch with the trained dog, mention the name of Allah over it and eat. EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the rules of hunting and eating animals according to Islamic teachings. Abu Tha'labah Al-Khushani asked the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ about what to do when hunting with a bow, a trained dog, or an untrained dog. The Prophet ﷺ said that whatever is caught with a bow should be mentioned by Allah's name before it is eaten. If it was caught with a trained dog, then again mention Allah's name before eating it. However, if something was caught with an untrained dog while still alive, then slaughter it first before consuming it. This hadith teaches us that we should be mindful of how we hunt and eat animals according to Islamic teachings so that we can remain within the boundaries set by Allah SWT for us as Muslims.
