Utilize resources efficiently and mindfully; adhere to religious laws set forth by Allah Almighty; make use of all parts of an animal even if you cannot eat some parts due to religious restrictions; do not throw away any resource without making sure you have made full use out of it first; respect life even after death as much as possible .

The Prophet passed by a dead sheep that had been thrown aside and asked who it belonged to. When he found out it belonged to Maimunah, he asked why she did not make use of its skin. He was told that the animal had not been slaughtered properly according to Islamic law, so eating it would be prohibited.
