QUICK LESSONS:
Offer sacrifices as an act of thanksgiving to Allah

EXPLANATIONS:
According to the hadith narrated by Ibn Abbas, the Prophet Muhammad offered an 'Aqiqah for his grandsons Hasan and Husain. An ‘Aqiqah is a religious offering made on behalf of a newborn baby in which an animal is sacrificed as an act of thanksgiving to Allah. In this case, two rams were sacrificed for each child. This hadith teaches us that it is important to thank Allah through acts of worship such as sacrificing animals in order to show our gratitude towards Him. It also shows us that we should be generous with our offerings and not be stingy when it comes to worshipping Allah.
