QUICK LESSONS:
Respect your elders , Trust in wisdom & experience
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad and his refusal to accept the pledge of a child. It was narrated by Al-Hirmas bin Ziyad that he stretched forth his hand to the Prophet for him to accept his pledge when he was still a child, but the Prophet did not accept it. This teaches us that children should not be given too much responsibility or be expected to make decisions before they are mature enough to do so. It also shows us that we should respect and honor our elders and follow their guidance even if we don't understand why they are making certain decisions at first. We must trust in their wisdom and experience as they have our best interests in mind.
