The Consequences of Two Muslims Fighting

SUMMARY: This hadith is about the consequences of two Muslims engaging in a fight with each other, where both will be punished in Hell.

It was narrated from Abu Bakrah that : The Prophet SAW said: "If two Muslims confront each other with swords, each of them wanting to kill the other, they will both be in Hell". It was said to him: "O Messenger of Allah, (we understand about) the killer, but what about the one who is killed?" He said: "He was determined to kill his companion".

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the consequences of two Muslims engaging in a fight with each other. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that if two Muslims confront each other with swords, both wanting to kill the other, they will both be punished in Hell. When asked what would happen to the one who was killed, he replied that even though he was killed, he still intended to kill his companion and thus would also be punished for it. This hadith teaches us that no matter what our intentions are or how we feel towards someone else, we should never resort to violence as it can have serious consequences for us and those around us. We should always strive for peace and understanding between ourselves and others instead of resorting to violence or aggression.
