EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the permissibility of shedding the blood of slaves who run away to lands that practice polytheism. The narrator, Jarir, is conveying that if a slave flees from his master and goes to a place where people practice polytheism, then it is permissible for his master or anyone else in authority to shed his blood. This hadith serves as an example for how serious it is considered in Islam for someone to leave their faith and embrace another religion. It also serves as an example for how important it is in Islam that one remains loyal and faithful towards their masters or those in authority over them.
