Accountability for Prayer and Bloodshed

SUMMARY: The first thing that will be judged on the Day of Judgement is prayer and the first thing that will be settled among people is bloodshed.

It was narrated that 'Abdullah said: "The Messenger of Allah SAW said: 'The first thing concerning which a person will be brought to account will be the Salah, and the first thing concerning which scores will be settled among the people, will be bloodshed".
أَخْبَرَنَا سَرِيعُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْوَاسِطِيُّ الْخَصِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الأَزْرَقُ، عَنْ شَرِيكٍ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ أَوَّلُ مَا يُحَاسَبُ بِهِ الْعَبْدُ الصَّلاَةُ وَأَوَّلُ مَا يُقْضَى بَيْنَ النَّاسِ فِي الدِّمَاءِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about accountability and justice. It tells us that on the Day of Judgement, Allah will judge us based on our prayers. We must make sure to pray regularly in order to receive a good judgement from Allah. Additionally, this hadith also speaks about justice among people. It tells us that if there is any bloodshed between two parties then it must be settled in a just manner so as to avoid further conflict or disputes between them. This teaches us the importance of justice and fairness when dealing with others in our daily lives.
