EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the mercy of Allah when it comes to fulfilling vows. It is narrated by Anas ibn Malik that the Prophet Muhammad passed by an old man who was being supported between two men and asked what was wrong with him. They said he had vowed to walk but the Prophet said that Allah did not need him to torture himself and told him to ride instead. This teaches us that we should be careful when making vows because if we are unable or unwilling to fulfill them then we should seek help from Allah in finding a way out of it without having any negative consequences for ourselves or others. We can also learn from this hadith that even though our intentions may be good, sometimes it is better for us if we do not put ourselves through unnecessary hardship or pain just for the sake of fulfilling a vow; rather we should look for more practical solutions which will still allow us fulfill our obligations without causing any harm or difficulty upon ourselves or others.
