Strive to give our wealth in charity while taking care not to deprive ourselves or our families from basic necessities such as food or clothing; Spend out of what Allah has given us; Show gratitude towards Allah's blessings; Be generous with one's possessions; Maintain a balance between giving and taking care oneself .

This hadith is about the importance of repentance and charity. It was narrated from 'Ubaydullah bin Ka'b that he heard his father Ka'b bin Malik narrate that he asked the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) if he could give all of his wealth in charity as part of his repentance. The Prophet advised him to keep some of it for himself as it would be better for him. This teaches us that while we should strive to give our wealth in charity, we should also take care not to deprive ourselves or our families from basic necessities such as food or clothing. We should also remember that Allah rewards us more when we spend out of what He has given us than when we spend out of what others have given us.
