The Effects of Making Vows

SUMMARY: Making a vow does not bring anything to a person that has not already been predetermined for them, but it can be used as a way to take wealth from the stingy.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said: "A vow does not bring anything to the son of Adam that has not been decreed for him. It is just a means of taking wealth from the miserly".

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the effects of making vows. It was narrated by Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said that making a vow does not bring anything to someone that has not already been predetermined for them. Instead, it is just an effective way to take wealth from those who are stingy with their money. This hadith teaches us that we should be careful when making vows and think about how our actions will affect others, especially those who are less fortunate than us. We should also remember that whatever happens in life is ultimately determined by Allah and nothing can change this fact.
