Choosing the Better Option

SUMMARY: The Prophet taught that one should always choose the better option, even if it is different from what was initially chosen.

It was narrated from Abu Musa that the Prophet said: "There is nothing on Earth that I swear an oath upon, and I see that something else is better, but I do that which is better".

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us to always strive for the best and to never settle for anything less. It is narrated by Abu Musa that the Prophet said, “There is nothing on Earth that I swear an oath upon, and I see that something else is better, but I do that which is better”. This means that if we make a decision or promise something and then later realize there may be a better option available, we should take it instead of sticking with our original choice. We must always strive to do what will bring us closer to Allah and His pleasure.
