The Perpetuity of Wealth

SUMMARY: Wealth should not be given away on the basis of 'Umra, as it will belong to the person for life and after death.

Hisham narrated from Abu Az-Zubair, from Jabir, that the Messenger of Allah said: "Hold on to your wealth and do not give it on the basis of 'Umra. For whoever is given something on the basis of 'Umra for the rest of his life, it belongs to him for the rest of his life and after his death".

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about wealth and how it should be handled. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught that one should not give away their wealth on the basis of ‘Umra, which is a pilgrimage to Mecca. Instead, this wealth will remain with them for life and even after death. This hadith teaches us that we must be careful with our possessions and use them wisely in order to benefit ourselves in this world and the next. It also encourages us to think carefully before giving away our money or possessions as they may have more value than we realize at first glance.
