Inheritance of Gifts

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught that a gift given for life belongs to the heir.

(A different chain) from Ma'mar who said: "I heard 'Amr bin Dinar, narrating from Tawus, from Hujr Al-Madari, from Zaid bin Thabit, that the Messenger of Allah said: "'Umra (a gift given for life) belongs to the heir". And Allah knows best".

QUICK LESSONS:
Give gifts during one's lifetime which will benefit others even after they are gone .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us about inheritance and gifts. According to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), if someone gives a gift for life or wasiyya in Arabic, it should go to the heir or warith in Arabic. This means that when someone passes away and leaves behind an inheritance or a gift meant for their lifetime, it should be passed on to their heirs instead of being kept by other people. This hadith also teaches us about justice and fairness as it ensures that everyone gets what is rightfully theirs according to Islamic law. It also encourages us to be generous with our wealth and possessions as we can give gifts during our lifetime which will benefit others even after we are gone.
