The Unpleasantness of Taking Back Gifts

SUMMARY: Taking back a gift is not a good thing to do.

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that the Prophet said: "The one who takes back his gift is like the one who goes back to his vomit".

QUICK LESSONS:
Respect the act of giving by not takingback yourgift
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith, narrated by Ibn 'Abbas, teaches us that taking back a gift is not something that should be done. A gift is an act of generosity and kindness, and it should be respected as such. When someone takes back their gift, it is like they are going back to their vomit - something that no one would want to do. This hadith serves as a reminder for us to think twice before taking back our gifts and encourages us to show respect for the act of giving by keeping our gifts with the recipient.
