Completing Sha'ban with 29 or 30 Days

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the completion of the month of Sha'ban, which can be either 29 or 30 days depending on whether or not one sees the moon.

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Umar: Allah's Messenger said, "The month (can be) 29 nights (ie days), and do not fast till you see the moon, and if the sky is overcast, then complete Sha'ban as thirty days".
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ ‏ "‏ الشَّهْرُ تِسْعٌ وَعِشْرُونَ لَيْلَةً، فَلاَ تَصُومُوا حَتَّى تَرَوْهُ، فَإِنْ غُمَّ عَلَيْكُمْ فَأَكْمِلُوا الْعِدَّةَ ثَلاَثِينَ
