The Reward of Keeping a Horse for Allah

SUMMARY: Keeping a horse for the cause of Allah out of faith in Him and believing His promise will result in Hasanat (good deeds) being added to one's balance.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever keeps a horse for the cause of Allah out of faith in Allah and believing the promise of Allah, its feed, water, urine and dung will all count as Hasanat in the balance of his deeds".

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the reward that comes from keeping a horse for the cause of Allah. It is narrated by Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said that whoever keeps a horse out of faith in Allah and believing His promise, its feed, water, urine and dung will all count as Hasanat in the balance of his deeds. This means that if someone keeps a horse with good intentions and believes in what God has promised them, then they will be rewarded with good deeds which will be added to their balance on Judgement Day. This hadith teaches us to have faith in God's promises and to do good deeds even if it is something small like taking care of an animal.
