QUICK LESSONS:
Strive for goodness in all aspects - words & actions

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks to the enduring nature of goodness. It was narrated by 'Urwah Al-Bariqi that the Messenger of Allah said “Goodness is tied to the forelocks of horses until the Day of Resurrection”. This means that goodness will remain in existence until the end times and it will never be lost or forgotten. The use of horses as an example here serves to emphasize how strong and resilient this trait is; horses are known for their strength and endurance so this metaphor implies that goodness has similar qualities. Furthermore, tying something to a horse's forelock suggests that it cannot be easily removed or taken away from them; similarly, goodness cannot be taken away from us either as it is an inherent part of our being. Therefore, we should strive to embody this quality in our lives and ensure its presence in all aspects - whether it be through our words or actions - so we can benefit from its blessings both now and in eternity.
