Divorce After Breastfeeding Claim

SUMMARY: The hadith is about a man who was advised to divorce his wife after she claimed that she breastfed him and his wife.

It was narrated that 'Uqbah bin Al-Harith said: I married a woman, then a black woman came to us and said: I breast-fed you both. I went to the Prophet and said: I married so and so and a black woman came to me and said: I breast-fed you both. He turned away from me so I came to him from the other side and said: She is lying. He said: "How can you be intimate with your wife when she says that she breast-fed you both? Leave her (divorce her)".

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about a man named Uqbah bin Al-Harith who married a woman, but then a black woman came and said that she had breastfed both of them. Uqbah went to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ for advice, and the Prophet told him to divorce her because it would be inappropriate for them to be intimate with each other if the claim was true. This hadith teaches us that we should always seek advice from our elders when faced with difficult decisions, as well as reminding us of the importance of being honest in all matters. It also shows us how important it is for Muslims to follow Islamic laws even when they are difficult or inconvenient.
