This hadith discusses the prohibition of marriage after breastfeeding. It was narrated by Sa’eed from Qatadah that they wrote to Ibrahim bin Yazid An Nakha’i asking him about breast feeding and he replied that Shuraih had narrated that ‘Ali and Ibn Mas’ud used to say that a little or a lot of breast feeding makes marriage prohibited. Abu Ash Sha'tha Al Muharibi also narrated that ‘Aishah told him that the Prophet of Allah used to say suckling once or twice does not make marriage prohibited. This hadith teaches us the importance of understanding Islamic law before making any decisions regarding marriage as breastfeeding can affect it in some cases.
