QUICK LESSONS:
Respect for family ties, maintain good relationships with extended family members

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is narrated by Abu Hurairah and it states that it is not permissible for a man to marry both a woman and her paternal aunt or maternal aunt at the same time. This prohibition applies regardless of whether the marriage was done simultaneously or consecutively. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us this lesson in order to protect family ties from being broken due to marriage between close relatives. He also wanted us to maintain good relationships with our extended family members so that we can benefit from their wisdom and experience in life. By prohibiting such marriages, he ensured that people would be able to maintain strong familial bonds without any complications arising due to marriage between close relatives.
