This hadith discusses the Islamic ruling on marriage between relatives who are related through breast-feeding. In Islam, it is prohibited for a man to marry a woman whose father has been breastfed by the same wet nurse as him. This prohibition applies even if the man is already married to another woman who is related to the woman in question through breastfeeding. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) made this clear when Umm Habibah asked him about marrying Durrah bint Abi Salamah, and he replied that it would not be permissible for him to do so even if he was not married to Umm Salamah, as her father is his brother through breast-feeding.
