Sahih al-Bukhari 1866 (Book 28, Hadith 46) #1789
Walking and Riding for Fulfilling Vows

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) gave a verdict that a woman who had vowed to go on foot to the Ka'ba should both walk and ride.

Narrated 'Uqba bin 'Amir: My sister vowed to go on foot to the Ka'ba, and she asked me to take the verdict of the Prophet about it. So, I did and the Prophet said, "She should walk and also should ride". Narrated Abul-Khair from 'Uqba as above.:

QUICK LESSONS:
Keep your promises/vows
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about fulfilling vows. A woman asked the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ if she could fulfill her vow of going on foot to the Ka'ba by walking and riding. The Prophet ﷺ said that she could do both, meaning that it was acceptable for her to fulfill her vow in this way. This teaches us that we should be flexible when fulfilling our vows, as long as we are still honoring them in some way. We can also learn from this hadith that it is important to keep our promises, even if they may seem difficult or inconvenient at first.
