Marriage of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to Aishah

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the marriage of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to Aishah when she was nine years old and his death when she was eighteen.

It was narrated from 'Aishah that the Messenger of Allah married her when she was nine and he died when she was eighteen years old.
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاَءِ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، تَزَوَّجَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ وَهِيَ بِنْتُ تِسْعٍ وَمَاتَ عَنْهَا وَهِيَ بِنْتُ ثَمَانِيَ عَشْرَةَ

This hadith narrates the story of the marriage between Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and 'Aishah. At that time, 'Aishah was only nine years old while the prophet was fifty-three. The marriage lasted until his death when she was eighteen years old. This hadith highlights how important it is for parents to be mindful and careful in choosing a spouse for their children as it can have a lasting impact on their lives.
