This hadith emphasizes the importance of serving Allah and doing good deeds in His cause. It was narrated by Abu Salih who was a freed slave of Uthman bin Affan that he heard Prophet Muhammad say that one day spent in the cause of Allah is better than a thousand days spent on any other activity.
