The Virtue of Martyrdom

SUMMARY: The hadith is about a man from Paradise who wishes to be sent back to the world so he can be martyred for Allah's cause ten times.

It was narrated that Anas said: "The Messenger of Allah said: 'A man from among the people of Paradise will be brought and Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, will say: "O son of Adam, how do you find your place (in Paradise)?" He would say: "O Lord, it is the best place". He will say: "Ask and wish (for whatever you want)". He would say: "I ask You to send me back to the world so that I may be killed in Your cause ten time" - because of what be sees of the virtue of martyrdom'."

QUICK LESSONS:
Strive hard towards good deeds , Ask Allah sincerely for what one desires

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of the virtue of martyrdom in Islam. It tells us that a man from Paradise will be brought before Allah and asked how he finds his place in Paradise. He will reply that it is the best place. Then Allah will ask him to ask for whatever he wants and he will wish to go back to the world so that he can be martyred for Allah's cause ten times. This shows us how highly valued martyrdom is in Islam as it is seen as something even those in paradise would wish for. It also teaches us that we should strive hard to do good deeds even if we are already rewarded with great blessings such as being admitted into paradise because there are always greater rewards awaiting us if we continue striving hard for them.
