This hadith speaks to the importance of following in the footsteps of our beloved prophet Ibrahim peace be upon him. It was narrated from Amr bin Abdullah bin Safwan that Yazid bin Shaiban said that they were standing in Arafat which is a place far from where people usually stand during rituals. Ibn Mirba Al-Ansari then came and said he was sent as a messenger from Allah's Messenger to tell them to stay where they are for it is a place for ritual and they are following their father's legacy - Prophet Ibrahim peace be upon him. This hadith teaches us that we should follow our beloved prophet's teachings and stay true to his legacy by performing rituals as he did. We should also remember that we are all connected through our shared faith and heritage so it is important for us to keep this connection alive by honoring our ancestors' legacies through prayer, fasting, charity etc.
