Different Ways to Express Devotion on Arafat

SUMMARY: This hadith is about the different ways people can express their devotion to Allah on the day of Arafat.

It was narrated that Muhmmad bin Abi Abkr - Ath-Thaqafi - said: "I said to Anas on the morning of Arafat: 'What do you say about the Talbiyah on this day?' I said: 'I walked this path with the Messenger of Allah and his Companions. Some of them recited the Talbiyah and some recited the Takbir, and none of them denounced any other".

QUICK LESSONS:
Respect for others' beliefs and practices even if they are different from ours

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about how people can express their devotion to Allah on the day of Arafat. It was narrated by Muhmmad bin Abi Abkr that he asked Anas what he said about reciting Talbiyah and Takbir on this day. Anas replied that when he walked this path with the Prophet Muhammad and his companions some of them recited Talbiyah while others recited Takbir but none of them denounced any other. This hadith teaches us that we should not criticize or judge others for expressing their devotion in different ways as long as it is within Islamic teachings. We should respect each other's beliefs and practices even if they are different from ours.
