Sunan an-Nasai 2994 (Book 24, Hadith 377) #17606
Exiting Ihram for Hajj

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) allowed his companions to exit Ihram and do the things that non-Muhrims do, due to the Hadi he brought with him.

It was narrated that Jabir said: "We came with the Messenger of Allah on the fourth day of Dhul-Hijjah. The prophet said: 'Exit Ihram and make it Umrah'. We were distressed and upset by that. News of that reached the Messenger of Allah and he said: 'O people, exit Ihram. Were if not for the Hadi that I brought with me, I would have done what you are doing'. So we exited Ihram, and had intercourse with our wives, ad we did everything that the non-Muhrim does until the day of At-Tarwiyah, when we put Makkah behind us (When we headed for Mina) and entered Ihram for Hajj".

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's journey to Makkah for Hajj. He and his companions were in a state of Ihram, which is a sacred state of purity that Muslims enter when performing certain rituals such as Umrah or Hajj. On their way, they received news that made them distressed and upset. The Prophet then allowed them to exit their state of Ihram so they could do all the things that non-Muhrims can do until they reached Mina where they entered into another state of Ihram for Hajj. This hadith teaches us about how important it is to be patient in difficult times and how Allah will always provide us with solutions if we trust Him enough. It also teaches us about the importance of following Islamic rituals such as Umrah and Hajj, even if it may seem difficult at first.
