Hurrying on Level Ground

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) would hurry when he reached level ground at the bottom of a valley.

It was narrated that Jabir said: "When the Messenger of Allah reached level ground at the bottom of the valley, he would hasten until he came out of it".
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ لَمَّا تَصَوَّبَتْ قَدَمَا رَسُولِ اللَّهِ فِي بَطْنِ الْوَادِي رَمَلَ حَتَّى خَرَجَ مِنْهُ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) practice of hurrying when he reached level ground at the bottom of a valley. It is narrated by Jabir ibn Abdullah, one of the companions of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). This hadith teaches us that we should be mindful and efficient with our time, and not waste it. We should use our time wisely and make sure to get things done in an efficient manner. We can also learn from this hadith that we should be mindful of our environment, as even though it may seem like a mundane task such as walking through a valley, we can still take something away from it by being aware and conscious about how we are using our time.
