The Sacredness of Makkah

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad declared that Allah had made Makkah a sacred land and it was not permissible to fight there before him.

It was narrated that Ibn Abbas said: "The Messenger of Allah said on the day of the conquest of Makkah: 'Allah, the Might and Sublime, has made this land sacred, and it was not permissible to fight therein for anyone before me. It was permitted for me for a few hours of a day, and it is sacred by the decree of Allah, the Might and Sublime".

QUICK LESSONS:
Respect holy places, Show reverence when visiting these areas

EXPLANATIONS:
On the day of the conquest of Makkah, Prophet Muhammad declared that Allah had made this land sacred. This means that no one was allowed to fight in this area before him. However, he was given permission for a few hours of the day. This shows how important it is to respect and protect holy places as they are decreed by Allah, the Might and Sublime. It also teaches us to be mindful of our actions in such places as they are considered sacred by God's decree. We should always remember that we must show reverence when visiting these areas and act accordingly so as not to disrespect them or their sanctity in any way.
