EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was with Kab bin Ujra in Ihram when he suffered an infestation of head lice. To atone for this, the Prophet commanded him to shave his head and told him that he could either fast for three days, feed six poor persons two Mudds each, or sacrifice a sheep. Whichever one of these options he chose would be sufficient as an atonement. This hadith teaches us that we should always be mindful of our actions and take responsibility if we have done something wrong. We should also strive to help those in need by providing them with food and other necessities whenever possible. Furthermore, it is important to remember that Allah is merciful and forgiving; He will accept any sincere effort made by us towards repentance even if it is not perfect or complete.
