Permissible Animals to Kill During Ihram

SUMMARY: Killing certain animals is permissible while in a state of Ihram.

It was narrated from Ibn Umar that: the Prophet said "There are five kinds of animals for which there is no sin on the one who kills them when he is in a state of Ihram: Kites, mice, vicious dogs, scorpions and crows". (Sahih) Chpater 87. Killing Kites
أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ أَبُو قُدَامَةَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ قَالَ ‏ "‏ خَمْسٌ مِنَ الدَّوَابِّ لاَ جُنَاحَ عَلَى مَنْ قَتَلَهُنَّ - أَوْ فِي قَتْلِهِنَّ - وَهُوَ حَرَامٌ الْحِدَأَةُ وَالْفَأْرَةُ وَالْكَلْبُ الْعَقُورُ وَالْعَقْرَبُ وَالْغُرَابُ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith explains that when one is in a state of Ihram, they are allowed to kill five kinds of animals without incurring any sin. These animals include kites, mice, vicious dogs, scorpions and crows. It is important to note that this permission only applies when one is in a state of Ihram and does not apply outside of it. The Prophet Muhammad was teaching us the importance of respecting life and only taking it when absolutely necessary. He also taught us the importance of being mindful about our actions and how they can affect others around us.
