QUICK LESSONS:
Respect all forms of life ; Follow Islamic laws ; Protect oneself from harm caused by wild animals .

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ has taught us about the importance of life and how it should be respected. He said that there are five animals which a person in the state of Ihram can kill, these include snakes, mice, kites, speckled crows and vicious dogs. This hadith teaches us to respect all forms of life but also shows us that there are certain circumstances where killing is allowed for the safety of humans or other animals. It is important to remember that this permission only applies when one is in the state of Ihram and not otherwise as killing any animal without reason is forbidden in Islam.
