QUICK LESSONS:
Respect religious rituals; Be mindful of your actions during religious duties

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith explains that there are five animals which it is permissible to kill for a person who is in the state of Ihram, or pilgrimage. These animals are crows, kites, scorpions, mice and vicious dogs. It is important to note that this permission only applies when someone is in the state of Ihram and not at any other time. The values taught by this hadith include mercy towards animals and respect for religious rituals such as Ihram. It also teaches us that we should be mindful of our actions even when we are performing religious duties as some things may still be prohibited even during these times.
