Eating During Ihram With Permission

SUMMARY: Talhah bin Ubaidullah was in Ihram when a birth was given to him while he was asleep. Some of the people ate it and some refrained. When Talhah woke up, he agreed with those who had eaten it and said that they had done so with the permission of the Messenger of Allah.

It was narrated from Mu'adh bin Abdur-Rahman At-Taimi that his father said: "we were with Talhah bin Ubaidullah and we were Ihram. A birth was given to him when he was asleep, and some of us at from it and others refrained. Talhah woke up and agreed with those who had eaten it, and said: 'We ate it with Messenger of Allah'."

QUICK LESSONS:
Seek permission before doing something

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about eating during a state of Ihram, which is an Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca. It tells us that if someone is in a state of Ihram and something edible appears, then they can eat it if they have permission from the Messenger of Allah. This teaches us that we should always seek permission before doing something, even if we think it may be permissible or allowed by Islamic law. We should also be mindful not to do anything without seeking guidance from our religious leaders first as this could lead to unintentional mistakes or wrongdoings.
