Follow in Prophet's footsteps even when faced with afflictions

Abdullah bin Umar was intending to perform Umra and he wanted to follow the same procedure that Prophet Muhammad had done in the year of Hudaibiya. This shows us how important it is for Muslims to follow in the footsteps of our beloved prophet. Even when faced with afflictions, Abdullah bin Umar still wanted to do what was right and stay true to his faith. This hadith teaches us that we should always strive for righteousness even when faced with difficult situations. We should also remember that we can look up to our prophet as an example on how we should live our lives according to Islamic teachings.
