QUICK LESSONS:
Perform acts such as fasting or giving charity in their name; strive to fulfill our religious obligations; fulfill one's religious duties while they are still alive; pray for them; perform hajj on behalf of deceased relatives

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of performing Hajj for deceased relatives. It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that a woman asked the Prophet about her father who had died and he did not perform Hajj. The Prophet advised her to perform Hajj on behalf of her father as an act of worship and mercy towards him. This teaches us that we should always strive to fulfill our religious obligations even if our loved ones have passed away without doing so themselves. We can do this by praying for them or by performing acts such as fasting or giving charity in their name. Additionally, this hadith also highlights the importance of fulfilling one's religious duties while they are still alive since death can come at any time and it may be too late afterwards to make up for any missed obligations.
