EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad warned against excessive asking, which is known as su’al in Arabic. He said that a person who keeps on asking will come on the Day of Resurrection without even a shared of skin on his face. This hadith serves as a reminder to us to be mindful about how much we ask for and not to take advantage or exploit people’s generosity. We should only ask for what we need and not more than that, so that we can avoid facing such dire consequences in the hereafter. It also teaches us to be content with what Allah has given us and not become greedy or selfish by wanting more than our share.
