Admiration for the Prophet (ﷺ)

SUMMARY: The narrator Ibn Seereen expresses his admiration for the Prophet (ﷺ) and how he would value even a single hair of the Prophet (ﷺ) more than anything else in the world.

Narrated Ibn Seereen: I said to 'Abida, "I have some of the hair of the Prophet which I got from Anas or from his family"'.Abida replied".No doubt if I had a single hair of that it would have been dearer to me than the whole world and whatever is in it".
حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ، قَالَ قُلْتُ لِعَبِيدَةَ عِنْدَنَا مِنْ شَعَرِ النَّبِيِّ أَصَبْنَاهُ مِنْ قِبَلِ أَنَسٍ، أَوْ مِنْ قِبَلِ أَهْلِ أَنَسٍ فَقَالَ لأَنْ تَكُونَ عِنْدِي شَعَرَةٌ مِنْهُ أَحَبُّ إِلَىَّ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا‏.‏

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about expressing admiration and respect for the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. It was narrated by Ibn Seereen, who said that he asked Abida if he had any of the hair of the Prophet ﷺ, which he got from Anas or from his family. Abida replied that if he had even a single hair of that it would have been dearer to him than anything else in this world. This shows us how much respect and love we should have for our beloved prophet ﷺ, as it is something more valuable than anything else in this world. We should strive to follow his teachings and emulate him in our lives so that we can be closer to Allah SWT.
